Shocking customer service from this hotel.
Made an error when booking and rather than assist in correcting it was very much computer says no….. stay in the premier in down the road much nicer/helpful staff

Had 3 rooms booked for wedding close by. Hotel cancelled at last minute. Very poor customer service. AVOID STAYING HERE!

Had a call nearly 2 weeks ago to say our booking has been cancelled, they refused to book us into the other Best Western in Chelmsford and are not refunding still! Something very dodgy going on, different excuses every time I call. No replies to any emails I've sent chasing it. You can't just cancel and decide to keep people's money! Avoid!!!!

Very helpful staff. Entrance to car park could be better not really what you expect from a good hotel , but as I say the staff more than made up for it.

My wife booked this hotel for a weekend birthday present, combined with a meal out in Chelmsford and cinema visit. On the Wednesday before we were due to go with only two days notice the hotel cancelled our booking for refurbishment. They must have known before this and no effort was made to find us somewhere else in Chelmsford. Lousy customer service would not recommend this hotel, they ruined our weekend!

We stayed to attend a wedding locally and were upset that the bar had to be attended by the night porter at 10.00 pm !
On the website the blurb said there was a bar . And the bar stays open until the last customer leaves usually .
The beer was not on at all !
I think the hotel was more interested in the economic migrants taking up half the rooms . So I would not recommend this hotel .

Stayed here for my friends daughters wedding reception. The young lady on reception was very friendly and very helpful. Hotel is basic but rooms were a goid size.

Highly doubt that this should be classified as a 4 star. First of all on arrival the room we were sent to was not cleaned. Imagine walking in to someone else’s mess. Then we moved. For our ENTIRE 2 days and 3 nights stay our rooms were not cleaned despite us even leaving a please clean my room sign outside. I was flying out after I checked out and had so many deliveries and packages that I had in my room, all I needed was to come back to a clean room. If I had that hoover I would have done it myself. On one of the days we left and the cleaning personnel was on our floor so how she decided to skip my room I will never know. Awful experience. Also their breakfast is not nice. Needs improvement. Far from a 4 star.

I booked a room in order to be with other family members for a funeral the next day. When I arrived at 9.30pm I was told the bar was shutting and should have been shut from 9pm but they had allowed it to stay open a bit longer for other family members. I have looked at the website again and found no mention of it neither could I find a phone number to ring and complain. The online form was basically a happy sheet with predefined comments.
I can understand the restaurant not taking bookings after nine but not the bar!
And there was no bottled water in the room and no indication as to whether the tap water was drinkable

Good hotel with friendly helpful staff. Executive room was really nice, Standard rooms very tired! Breakfast very good value when booked in advance.

Let's be fair, if you claim to be a 4 star you need to be better than the premier in 2 min away.... very disappointing stay as the facility and experience was not of a 4 star facility. The staff were very nice but don't turn up expecting a 4 star facility. At best it is a 2 star room and breakfast facility.

Nice place, would go there again, no aircon and was stiffelingly hot though, easy walk to Chelmsford town centre.

5stars.great Internet, great big room with all facilities and cleaned,staff very helpful and polite,very nice hotel close to high street and groceries,at chelmsford. Location 7 ,10 min to high Street,7to 10 min to train
